Hello everyone, as the title says, this is my LAST post and you can imagine how disapointed I am. I really loved posting on here and I really hope it doesnt get deleted.Im moving so it would be hard for me to keep posting on here when Im at a different school. These meetings were always fun. Me and my friends always sat together and talked, it was fun. Wow this stinks, but lets not be all mopey, sapey,oh boohoo. Im writing a short story! Yay, your all happy now right?...right? Oh what do I care?! Its my blog and my last day, Ill do what I want!(Mr.Mayo-"no you wont" me-"Aww, no fun" Mr.Mayo-"Your suposed to be posting good and nice little things on books and short stories." me-"Like I said no fun") The short story is just a little something because I ran out of books to write about, at least that you would be interested in. So dont be mean and say 'Oh this story stinks' because I dont want to hear it.Its a little something for Halloween so it might be interesting.
Holly walked along the streets filled with laughing kids her age and younger. She was 11 so this was her last trick-or-treating year. She was a vampiress this Halloween, every other time she was somthing more cheerful but she got bored of that. She wore a long dragging black dress and a blood red cape. She put on fake teeth and used a blood capsule that was supposedly to taste like cherry but it tasted more like bleach. Her candy bag was getting near full but she had several more houses to go.
She noticed a houes she hadnt seen before, and nobody was trick-or-treating at it even though the porch lights were on. Holly aproached it slowly looking around the yard cautiously. She saw the lawn was grey and dead, and the house looked unused. She raised her finger to the doorbell but the door opened before she could touch it. There was nobody there. The wind blew through the door way, almost like to push her in. She took a few steps and before she knew it she was inside the house. The door slammed behing her bringing her to reality. She spun around and tried to open the door but the handle came off and rolled into a corner. She franticaly pounded on the door. She was stuck there till someone comes to find her.
She found a candle and a match she lit it and it seemed as the whole room lit up, revealing in the corner a giant bat. It was the same size as Holly and for a bat thats pretty big (put yourself in her place, a bat about 4'8 standing only ten feet from you. Hey it would be kinda cool if you werent alone and traped in a house that looked as though a thousand people died there.) She stepped back slowly not wanting to wake it. She remembered she was trapped in there so it looked like she was stuck with it. There was a light coming from behind a closed door, there were also voices and music. "Maybe someone can help me out of here" Holly said to herslef. She opened the door and stepped into a room lit by candels. The room was huge and there was a strange music playing. There were people dancing, but the peolpe didnt look normal. They were taller then normal and very pale. They were all dressed in black and red. There was a stentch in the room she couldnt identify, but it smelled like blood. "wait a minute, oh crud." Holly said aloud. All the people in the room stopped what they were doing and turned to Holly. They all were expresionless but Holly could tell what they were thinking. Then they started to come closer. Holly let out a scream that all the surounding houses could hear. But they didnt care.
Little Jimmy finds Holly's body, little Jimmy starts to run, Little Jimmy sees a shadow, little Jimmy lets out a cry, little Jimmy has to die, little Jimmy is just like Holly, little Jimmy passed away.
Wow...I think that I did a pretty ok job, the poem at the end is what scared me. Happy Halloween and goodbye, I shall miss you. Ok Im going to ignore that comment about "we wont miss you'. But I know you will surely miss my sarcasm and short stories. Haha, sarcasm, short stories...sorry. Ok I have to go and never return (maybe I can see if I can come back sometime)
Dont forget me, always miss me, holding fast to what we lost, trying hard to grasp that its really gone, Hard to know that its not to return, but always remember Im still alive to say I was here.(Made that up, haha I know its cheesey)
Forever the 'Book Worm' Rebecca T.
