Magazine

So I'm supposed to write about how I feel about the Magazine. Here goes, well obviously I like it because here I am. I love the Magazine. I would even go so far as to say that I like it as much as I love orchestra, and I like orchestra a lot. I even like the Magazine so much that next year when I don't go to this school, I'm still going to return to write about Politics and Current Events. I may not write as much, but I'll still be here. So check in every now and then to see. Also, just for a memo, I may be starting my own blog site. If I do, then I'll be sure to tell ya'll.

So Many Things

Today's topic, is it alright for pharamists to dent perscriptions for RU-486? RU-486 is otherwise known as the morning after pill. For the backroung of RU-486, it works like birth control, but only if it is taken within 24 hours. In some states, mostly in  the electronics section believes that video games promote violence, can they refuse to let someone buy it? Or another example, if an enviormental extremist working at a gas station only believes in hybred cars, can they refuse to let someone buy gas? You can take this to so many different levels. At what point do you say enough? I would think that this would be shut down right away, but even though it is unconstitutional, the Supreme Court has continued to let it go. To be completely honest, I really don't know too much about this topic, but I felt the compelling urge to share it with you all. Moving on.

I have yet to understand anti-abortionist. They claim that it is murder to, but what about all those people they send off to war? Or what about all those animals that they slaughter for food? Is it really any different at all? I don't believe so. Instead of bombing abortion clinics and protesting infront of them, why don't they do something productive with their time and money? There are so many unloved and unwanted children in orphanages, so why don't they take care of all those children before they worry about bringing more unwanted children into the world? For instance, why not let gay couples adopt children? They want to. If they were allowed to, then there would be so many less children in orphanages to worry about.

Moving on again, what is up with all the intolerance lately? I'm getting so tired of it. It's taking over like a trend or something. It's really starting to irk me. Like Mother Theresa once said, "If we judge people, then we have no time to love them." Why can't people just learn to get along and stop judging by religion or race? Just a personal message, I'm color blind. When did the world be become cruel?

Ok, I'm running out of time, so I'll leave you to ponder this on your own.

Mucho Love,

Thia

Some Conspiracy Theroy's For You

Well, I've been having a hard time finding something to write about, so today's post might not be as good as others. I'm going to find all the conspiracy theories that I can and inform you of them.

Let's start with the most popular, the September 11 conspiracy theory. As stated by Mike Ward, "For about thirty minutes after his chief of staff told him that America was under attack, George W. Bush continued to sit in an elementary school classroom listening to a second-grader tell a story about a pet goat. He did a marvelous job of looking completely unsurprised. Meanwhile, four hijacked jumbo jets were able to fly off-course across several states without encountering any opposition from the most powerful and responsive air force in the world." Interesting, I know. It sorta makes you wonder, did the President have something to do with the attacks? I really wonder. We'll probably never know though.

Next, the 'War-for-oil' conspiracy. Ted Rall argues that the war was never about terrorism. He believes that it is all a scheme for oil. I believe that it's a possibility. Maybe GeeDubya is only keeping us over there so that he can steal and smuggle oil back to America. Just a personal thing, I wouldn't doubt it for a second. Once again, we might never know.

Third, this really isn't a conspiracy at all, but it is interesting, the author of the book Behold A Pale Horse, Milton William Cooper (or Bill Cooper), was a former Naval Intelligence Briefing Officer. His book was about almost every conspiracy in American history. One day he was at home and some CIA officers started banging on his front door. At first he resisted opening the door, but when he did, they shot him. Could there be a possible conspiracy here? It's a potential possibility, but I'm not going to be the one to jump start it.

Moving on, the Jeb Bush election conspiracy theory. I really don't think there are many people out there that don't know this one. I have no desire to go in depth on this one, but simply, in an area of Florida where a lot of elderly liberal people lived all the voting polls were stocked with butterfly ballots. Butterfly ballots are known to cause voters to mark the wrong candidate.

Another theory involving oil and gas prices is that Bush Co. is paying gas companies to keep the prices higher so that the government will get more tax dollars. Not much more to say about this one. It's sorta black and white.

I'm all out of theories, but I would recommend the book Behold A Pale Horse. I'm in the process of reading it, and it is a very good investment of time. It's not a light read though. It takes a while to comprehend it all. Thanks for reading.

Religious Intolerance and Justification Of Religions

Do you ever stop to wonder why people are so intolerant of other religions? It just doesn't make sense to me. When people look at people for what their religion is, they never get the chance to really know the people. For example, I openly admit that I am not a christian. I follow and whole-heartedly believe in the tarditional Pagan beliefs. Whaenever someone asks me what religion I am, that's what I'll tell them. So many people don't even give me a second glance because of that, and I just don't see any logic in that whatsoever.

Every day of my life I am asked to justify why I believe the way that I do, and to be honest, it gets a bit tiresome after a while. You never see anyone on telivision critizing christianity of judhism, so why would it be in the least bit fair to challange the rights of pagans or wiccans?

There are a few questions that I am asked almost daily, and I have logical answers to all of them.

I am constantly plauged with the question, what is Paganism? Well, a breif answer world be to say: "Look it up," but I've said that before and got nowhere, so I'm finally going to take the time to explain it. Paganism was one of the first religions established. It is an Earth based religion that Christianity formed from. There are two main rules of Paganism. The witches rede goes, "An it harm none, do what ye will." To some that up, if you want to do something, go ahead, unless it's going to hurt someone. Then there is the Law of the three-fold. There is no catchy little phrase to remember this one, but basically what it does is reminds us that whatever we do, be it good or bad, is magnified back to us three times.

There are eight basic holidays that are celebrated be wiccand worldwide. Around Christmas time, wiccans are celebrating the winter solstice. We call it Yule. Instead of a Valentines Day, we have Candlemas. At Easter time, we are celebrating the sabbat called Ostara. It is a celebration of the spring equinox. Near May Day, we have Beltane. The meaning of this holiday is to celebrate new life. For the summer solstice, we have Midsummer's Eve. In August we have a holiday called Lammas. Basically it is to pray for a good harvest. For the fall equinox, we have Mabon. This is when we do harvest. Last, at halloween we have a holiday called Samhain.

A lot of people think that Paganism is devil worshiping, but it is far from it. Actually, there is no such thing as a devil in Paganism. The dieties of Paganism are the God and Goddess. The God is the sun, and the Goddess is the Earth. The moon is also a huge part of Paganism, seeing as how all our holidays are based on the moon and Earth's movement together. I'm sure that there is more that I could write, but I just can't think of it at the moment.

Ok, now I've justified my religion, even though I don't understand why I should have. I urge all of you out there to do the same. Take the time to explain why you believe the way that you do, and maybe people will take the time to put religion aside to get to know the real person that you are.

Thia

Bush's Briefing & Wiretap Polls

Ok folks, I'm back, and with outraging news. You know how GeeDubua, denied ever being briefed about the catastrophe the Hurricane Katrina would leave in her wake, well, the press was fortunate enough to find a tape of GeeDubua being briefed. Bush's problems just up sized by a lot. I bet Bill Maher had fun fun with this one. GeeDubua said on Good Morning America, "I don't think anyone anticipated the breach of the levees." Well, obviously they did. He knew it too. What a liar, and this is the man that got elected for president. It kinda makes you miss Clinton. I know I sure do. If you want to see more information on this topic, then Google News search 'Bush's Katrina Briefing. It's the first one there. (Bush's Katrina problem just got bigger). Sorry I haven't written more, I just don't have as much time as I usually do.

On another topic, my dad and I were talking and he mentioned a recent poll. One of the questions was along the lines of, "Do you feel it's ok to tap wires if it is for the purpose of finding terrorist?" About 48% of the poll takers said yes, it is ok. The very next question was to the effect of, "Do you think the government should be allowed to get away with tracing phone lines and illegally spying on American citizens?" About 58% of people answered, no, that's wrong. Excuse me but, huh? what the heck is up with that? It's the same thing, just phrased differently. That goes to show that people are dumb.

Informed not ignorant,

The Magazine

OK, some of you may have heard that the magazine was canceled for a while. I have good news for you, the magazine is back. It all happened very quickly, but in that short time a lot of emotions were flying around. From me alone there was anger, disappointment, confusion, determination, and at the end of it all, relief. When I first heard that the school board had canceled the On-line Magazine, I was more angry than I had been in a long time. After mulling it over for a long while, the disappointment set in. This is my favorite club of all time, and I was completely dejected at the thought of it being gone. It all seemed unreal at first. Then I began to wonder, why had the magazine been canceled in the first place? There is nothing vulgar or inappropriate anywhere in it. Not as I can see anyway. I wasn't the only person upset with this, so my family and I were all prepared to start a campaign to get the magazine back. I was as determined as I ever had been. I had already began to rally members to help when I heard that the school board let it back. I was so excited that I called everyone I knew that's in the club, and that's a lot of people. Looking back on it all now, I see that the school board was trying to look out for us kids. I appreciate that they are concerned for us, but next time I hope it has something to do with something else. Now, wrapping all of this up, I'm glad that the magazine is back, and I look forward to writing many many more articles on topics that spark my interest.

Thia's Rant 1

Ok, some of you have heard that BushCo. is trying to get the Patriot Act renewed. A lot of you are thrilled by this, but that means that a lot of you are ignorant. The Patriot Act may sound all great and junk, but it's not. It's actually the complete oppisite. Here's what is absolutely awful about it:

If the Patriot Act is renewed, it has been added to it that if in a peaceful protest, you cross a, 'saftey line' you can be arrested on spot, and charged with a federal crime. Thatis compleatly unconstitutional. In a peaceful protest, there are no lines that you have to stay behind. So what's up with that?!?

Next topic, is it just me, or have us Americans slowly bees stripped of our constitional rights while BushCo. has been in control. Well, upon further invistigation, I'm obviously not the only one. Here's a link that you can take that will give you a chronichigal order of our rights that have been slaughtered: CLICK ME!!!

Ok, moving on. I'm just gonna take this space to rant. I frikin hate GWB. He needs to be impeached...NOW. No sound effect can express my hate/anger twords him!! These days when I write to my pen pal in Russia, I don't sign my letters/e-mails 'Your American Friend' I sign it, 'Your stuck in dictatorship friend'. Yeah, that's how bad it is. I just want to scream sometimes. He makes me sooooo mad!! Yeah, I'm actually considering moving to Canada. I'd have more freedom there! We are no longer Americans living in the United States of America, we are Busharians living in Bush Country, you know, where all we do is wage war for oil, and pray to one god. UGH!!! And when did homophobes take over? I have met 7 of them this week! I'm startinmg to go crazy!!! Now, I'm gonna go. And remember people, GWB isn' pro-choice, or pro-life, he's pro-LIE.

Love,

Thia

By the way, you all should really check out Evelyn's page. It's called Sights & Sounds. It's awsome!!!

The Truth Movement

OK, second topic today, I'm on a roll. My Mom and I are outraged at what has happened. When did the First Amendment die? Obviously it died two days ago. But anyway, in order to spread the truth, we have started the Truth Movement. Our ribbons are black, for mourning the death of the First Amendment, and we want everyone to wear one. Even if I don't know you, go out and get black ribbion, pass them out to all your friends, and spread the truth. Our motto is, "Ask me about my black ribbion, because you deserve to know the truth."

Spread the truth, and defend out rights. Bring out rights back.

Love,

The grassroot of The Truth Movement,

Cindy Sheehan

Ok today's topic is a very important one. Actually, there are two that I want to write about, but I'm posting them seperately.

Some of you may have heard about Cindy Sheehan. Her son amde the ultimate sacrifice in Iraq, and she has two justifiable questions:

1. What is the nobel cause her son dies for?

2. If it's such a nobel cause, then why aren't GWB's twins there?

She was denied two simple answers. Two answers that she has every right to know. In protest, she camped out in front of Bush's ranch, peacefully I might add. Our real story though, takes place two days ago, at the State of the Union Address.

Ms. Sheehan was there as a guest of Lynn Woolsey, a senator from CA. Even though it was aginst her better judgement, Ms. Sheehan decided to attend. Before the address even began, Ms .Sheehan was forcefully drug from the House, that she helps to pay for, put in hand cuffs, and taken to jail where she was charged with "unlawful conduct". Why you ask? The shhirt she was wearing said, "2245 Dead. How Many More?"

Now, Ms. Sheehan wasn't the only person taken out of the house. Bill Young's wife was also escourted out. Her shirt said, "Support Out Troops Defending Our Freedom". If Ms. Sheehan was arrasted, then whay wasn't Mrs. Young? That sure wasn't 'equal under the law'. What has happened to America? Are we even America anymore? If we are going to take out country back from the government, then we need to fight for our freedom.

Thia

Bush & The WireTaps

Well, recently it has been discovered that Bush has had our privet phone lines tapped, and has been spying on us. Many people don't know this though, and fewer people are outraged. Sadly, I am once again in the intelligent minority. So many people say that it's OK, and even go so far as to encourage the tapping of phones, but did they once stop to think, "Wait, this is unconstitutional. I'm abandoning my American rights."? No, they didn't. The news isn't saying anything though. The papers are being censored, and FOX News is feeding you mainstream lies that Bush Co. wants you to believe. The freedom of the press has been limited to the Internet for many months now. As an American citizen, it is your responsibility to know what's going on. Now, back on track. What with all this wire tapping, I don't care if 80% of Americans are fine with giving up their rights, 20% of us are right. It's clear as day in the Constitution. Now, another question that lingers in my mind, why in h-e double toothpicks is Congress not doing anything? It's their duty to keep the president in check, and to take necessary actions against him if he breaks the law. The Congress has abandon the country too, and the people are being exploited. If we don't do anything, then everything America stands for will disappear, one right at a time. Now, some of you might be thinking, "Oh, she's just a liberal, and she's being biased. It's not true at all." Darn straight I'm a liberal! With an attitude too, but it's not about political party differences anymore. It's about being demoted and taken advantage of by the government.

Now, I'm going to use a brilliant analogy that I read on, dun dun dun, one of the blog sites I so graciously gave you. It doesn't matter in 99% of Americans promote the wire taps. It wouldn't matter if 99% of Americans promoted murder. It's illegal, and it needs to be prosecuted.

Well, I'm done now, and I hope that you now know a bit more about what's been going on, and if you're not outraged, then you're not paying attention. Please, go write to your House Representatives pleading with them to do their jobs and take action.

Thank you for reading,

Thia
