ONLINE MAGAZINE?

My Opinion:

                  Online Magazine is actually a cool place for friends to hang out and have fun... we basically type up things that are based on the latest things, depending on whatever we chose to stick with as a topic(EX. me, drawing, so i write about my drawings...get the picture?)....but at the end, we still have fun... The "boss" of the club is MR. maYO!!! He's cool...a down to earth kinda teacher, who's also a kid at heart.... :) ... whenever you need help on something, you can always count on him to solve the problem... ANYWAYS ahha.... I suggest we have a limit on how much we type... typing too much is NOT at all a bad thing...type a novel for all i care... but typing too little, like maybe 2-3 sentences shows a bit a slacking... so yea, everything else is great.... Bye forever online magazine... peace...

Last meeting...

Yeah I know...this is my last meeting in online magazine...i know i haven't been in all the meetings...i had too much in mind to attend! anywho, i really noticed that the people of online magazine have there own "clicks"...there's the anime/drawing peeps, skater dudes/dudetts, "gangstas", and some other group who i don't really know what to call them...so...this year was okay...next year is gonna be fun...HIGH SCHOOL AT T-WOOD!!! I'm only going there for the acadamy.....and or course, my beloved friends... :) ...  Drawing...let's see... yeah...i'm still drawing, and will continue to in the future... i don't draw as much, but i still draw in my spare time...sometimes during classes...so yea all i have to say...I'll MISS YALL!!!

Sorry,i haven't been drawing anymore because i've been really busy with orchestra.. i have a district festival coming up on saturday (1st chair 1st violin *cough cough*..hehe)!!! And i don't really know what else to type about... i haven't been concentrating latley about my drawings.... but i have been thinking about changing my topic from art to an advice topic. so yes... i think this will be better for me because i've got tons of advice for life issues... and i think i'll actually be more interested in it also.  Drawing every other week is crazy for me because i've been stressed out with school and other things.... i just had a science fair project presentation yesterday... and i thought i did okay! So yeah... hey! Don't be sad! I've only drawn four pictures, so i think it isn't a big deal if a switch topics... WHY DON'T YA'LL CHECK OUT RONI'S PAGE, MANGA MANIAC, ARTIST'S CORNER, AND OTHER PAGES?!!!! THEY GOT COOL DRAWINGS AND STORIES ABOUT THEM!!! SO GO ON AND JUST DO IT!!! ok, until next time.... but i'm still not sure if i'm changin topics...still read my blog though...iight?! Hey! One of my drawings might pop up  one day, you nver know...okay, peace out...

Art Advice

Here are some advice you should consider:

- draw what you see, see what u draw.

- draw what u feel, feel what u draw

- draw about your goals

- draw about the dreams you have last night

- take time

- try something new

- try challenging yourself

- how about drawing a paper ball?

- draw a self portrait

- why draw if you can paint?

A New Idea: B-BOY DIKE

     Hey!!! Its been like two weeks or so since my last post! Well, I'm back and ready for more drawings!!!! (...hurah...) I havn't been drawing alot lately because I've been focusing more on my friend, grades, family issues-WHOA BABY- I don't want to get ahead of myself... *cough cough* haha... Well, i've figured out my problems and moved on!!!  I do have something I'm working on... It is a picture about music, specifically hip hop, because I thought it would be cool to express what I like through actually drawing it... I'm considering drawing a picture that has a certain "mood", like a mood of determination... yeah, I think that would be the perfect mood for it.  I want to draw a character breakdancing in a dark room... and somewhere in the picture, there will be a close-up picture of his face, except his eyes would be hidden because he would be wearing a hood... SO yeah, that is my latest idea... when I come back, THE picture will be posted up and ready to be viewed by anyone who is anyone...

I think that it would be cool to draw a picture like this because it expresses what I like and what type of attitude I have towards life. I love the moves, the beats, the hip hop culture and that is why I want to draw this.

Drummer Kid

     Dis is catcat nd im back here for more inside scope about  my drawings! yayeah!  I'm here today to explain about one of my most trusted, beloved drawings *tear*.... the drummer boy...*sigh*. Okay, I don't really have a name for this dude, but I think I'll give him one now! In front of ur eyes, LIVE to give the drummer boy a name.... here it is..... give it up for.... the JIMSTER!!! Yeah... he looks like a Jimmy, Jim Holstien...

     Jim is a drummer, well a newbie at it.  His story begins on a typical day in New York... He has a best friend named Michael Harris.  He invites him to his 17th birthday party and tells him that a band will be playing.  Then his life is changed forever when he meets the lead singer/guitarist, and hard core rocker, Damien Monton, at the party... haha... It was then he fell in love with the rock culture.  Damien Monton was a long haired pretty boy.  He was 3 years older than Jim, but they became good friends. Damien thought of having Jim as part of the band.  For Jim's first performance, Damien teaches him how to play this part for the drums.  Since Jim is a started, he helps him improve and perfect the part.  Damien also has a younger sister, 16 years of age, who would sometimes sing for the band.  Her name is Jennifer or just Jen for short... but because of her attractive appearance, she would try to avoid any dude who would try to hook up with her.  If any boy fails this, then she would leave Damien to take care of the situation.   Since Jim has become Damien's closest friend, he allows him to try asking her out.   Jim on the other hand has heard of this delima and tries to follow it as much as possible. But he hides a secret, he has a HUGE crush on her!  Jen thought that he was different from all the boys that tried to ask her out.  Jim could also tell that Jen is also attracted to him in a way.  Then one day Michael Harris calls Jim and tells him that he hasn't been hanging out with him anymore.  Their relationship is on the line! What should Jim do?

                BUNNY BOY

Here's a story of Ray Jay.

I Don't really know what to say.

But I know that he wasn't gay.

Cause before, he was a stray.

He was found in a cardboard box, hidin from a fox.

Jay thought he was a zero, but then came his hero.

His name was Tito.

He was a cool fellow, he wore all yellow.

He had all these bling bling hangin from is neck, looked like he came from heck.

But no...He treated him nicely, he bought him all these icy-ys....

haha...

Then one day Tito taught him, all the stuff about his customs.

Jay learned alot, messed up all his thought.

He thinks like a boy.

He wants an expensive toy.

Tito said no, so he said he had to go.

Jay didn't care, but his heart felt like it was gonna tear.

Now Jay can walk, now jay can talk.

He changed his name to "McCoy".

He bought himself that toy.

Here is that gangsta lookin' bunny.

I thought it was cool and funny.

Spinnin a basketball on his finger, got the idea from my sister.

I thought the idea was clever,

It's as "sick" as  leper.... (....I don't know it rhymed right?)

A Short Story and A Long One

Mamoru       

     The piece of drawing found below is a young lad named, Mamoru. As you can see, he possesses powers of water and fire. I love the outcome of the drawing and the red hair. That's pretty much it for that picture. I first got the idea from watching one episode of Avatar: The Last Air bender. I thought the show was okay. I got the name from my younger sister, Roni.

Regret

     One of the drawings are called Regret. It is about a school boy whose life is turned upside down when introduced to drugs.  It all started after one ordinary school day. Jake was minding his own business and thinking about what to wear for picture day. He was also nervous because his report card was issued the next week. He suddenly noticed a group of kids about his age just outside, near the bleachers.  He continued to walk to his destiny, keeping his head high.  Then one of the boys in the group came up to him. They both had a little chat and that is when they started to really getting to now each other.  Jake thought the boy was now one of his "friends". 

      He asked Jake to come and meet his other friends. He agreed and followed the stranger. As soon as he turned the corner of the school building, he saw three other boys smoking cigarettes.  Jake was shocked. His heart started to beat harder and faster. Jake was so afraid, he couldn't even think straight. The boy also took out a cigarette out of his pocket and put it in his mouth. The boy ushered him to the group and asked, "Hey, Jake... you're cool right? Take a smoke. It'll be our little secret." The boy placed the cigarette in his hand and waited...

     Jake held it in his hands for a couple of seconds... and placed it in his mouth...

     "That's it Jake...," mumbled the boy. Jake stepped in closer into the group and smoked away.

     The next day, Jake woke up late and rushed to put his clothes on.  He went to his school, learned, and took his picture. The next week, his mother received Jake's grade and the envelope his picture was in and the one taken from last week.  She scanned through his report card and was pleased that he earned straight A's. Finally, she took Jake's picture out of the envelope and saw his picture.  She was confused and horrified... She soon discovered her son's little secret. Jake was punished severely the next day. (DUN-DUN-DAA!)

Don't talk to strangers and try to think before doing something you will really REGRET later.

The Start

     Hello, I'm "catcat" and a new member of the Brandon Middle School On-line Magazine.  I'm looking forward for a great year and i hope you will feel the same way.  The reason why I joined is because I wanted to try something new and meet different people.  My blog is about art... nuf said.  This is for those who are crazy about drawing, or unless you are bored and just want something to read.  I am here today to explain what you will need, tips, etc. So listen up and lets begin.

     First of all, lets talk about you materials (these are just the basics). You will need:

• Pencils( # 2 pencils and 0.1, 0.5, 0.7)
• black pens(0.1, 0.5, 0.7)
• erasers
• colored pencils
• rulers
• paper

     Second, when you draw, you wouldn't want any disturbances, so try to find a nice, quiet area that you think is comfortable.  Turning on a radio is a good way to relax the mind and concentrate more on what you are doing. 

     Here are some tips you should know before drawing:

1. Eat a snack.
2. Use the restroom.
3. Watch TV.
4. Do homework.
5. Draw
6. Brush your teeth
7. Sleep

     Juz kiddin'!!!

   For real now....

1. Stretch a bit so you wouldn't feel cramped after drawing for 2 hours.
2. When you draw use your whole arm not your wrist because your wrist will hurt after wards.
3. Make sure you draw in a bright, nicely lit room because if you don't you'll literally go "blind".
4. Sit up straight, you should already know this if you don't want to get scoliosis.

These are just the BASICS.

     Well that's pretty much it for today.  The next time you come back, you'll see some REAL drawings.
